Eana
(2021)
Eana (Sami for “land”) is eight piece tableware collection in local wild clay. Wild clay exists in large quantities along the Norwegian coast. Its abundance laid the foundation for a long tradition of industrial processing—from brick production to ceramics. However, today wild clay is widely regarded as a waste material. Through my exploration, I wanted to spark a conversation about its potential for being utilised on a larger scale in a contemporary context.
